I have always been a Mahesh Babu fan. He brings a certain presence to the screen and carries it off with elan. So when I saw on MAATV’s YouTube Channel this movie online I was hopeful for an afternoon of entertainment.

Imagine my shock when the story unfolded.

The movie is about a Zamindari couple in Tamil Nadu who keep killing people with impunity. First they threw a senior cop over the railing. Then they smother a prospective in-law to death. And on and on and on.

And each death is interspersed with Mahesh Babu dancing and cavorting with a pretty Shreya Saran. Or with Mahesh Babu fighting strange gymnastic battles with lungi clad villains. And this goes on ad nauseum.

So the story line is murder, dance, fight in an insane cycle.

And most of the action is centred around the Madurai Meenakshi temple and the yatras and processions that make it a pious, powerful place.

Strange are the ways of the script writer. At the end of the film, the couple dramatically kills each other and thankfully the movie comes to an end.
